ParaShoot 0 #1 April 21, 2015 My dealer has one in stock now and I'm considering getting one. Anybody already experience with the camera, especially while in freefall? Does the Hypeye work? ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
DSE 3 #2 April 21, 2015 IIRC, the HypEye won't work with this model. Trunk may have certified it, but I believe it uses a different protocol. The camera itself is great ('ve used the American model). Not a fan of the built-in projector, but it's a nice novelty (useless in any but a pitch-black room).
ParaShoot 0 #3 April 22, 2015 Yes, it's a nice camera. 4K version of my 760 with BOSS. Indeed don't like the projector and will probably never use it but can't take it off. Good to know the HypEye might not work. I'll bring it to the shop to test. Trunk, any idea if you'll get an updated version for this camera? ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
guscabana 0 #4 April 22, 2015 yep, in the manual says the VMC-AVM1 adapter is not compatible, the same like in almost every model since the CX410/430... Looking forward for your test with my wide angle converter lens! :-)

Looking forward for your test with my wide angle converter lens! :-) Given that there are no wide angle converters designed to resolve 4K, there will be a significant loss of resolution, so beware... guscabana 0 #6 April 22, 2015 Don't worry, my lens was designed to resolve 8K...

ParaShoot 0 #8 April 22, 2015 We'll see Gus :). ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **
DSE 3 #9 April 22, 2015 If you're truly serious (i don't think you are), it would be unbelievable that you'd have a lens that can resolve 8K. Canon just announced their new 8K lenses. Primes start at $44,000.
ParaShoot 0 #10 April 23, 2015 For sure every converter will give some loss. Though the wide angle from Gus is by far the best lens I've ever had. Super sharp all over. It would be good to really measure the resolution. ** Know what you say but don't say all you know. **

It would be good to really measure the resolution. It's very, very easy to measure resolution; I have both charts and lasers. I'd be stunned if it could accurately resolve 4K. Gus? davidcherry 0 #12 April 27, 2015 Any raw test footage from the sky? With and without wide angle convertor? Any hiccups with getting it set up on a helmet? From what I can tell, the tripod mount looks like it has been moved forward a little bit from previous models.
