Sony AXP33 4K camera

Recommended Posts

IIRC, the HypEye won't work with this model. Trunk may have certified it, but I believe it uses a different protocol.
The camera itself is great ('ve used the American model). Not a fan of the built-in projector, but it's a nice novelty (useless in any but a pitch-black room).

Yes, it's a nice camera. 4K version of my 760 with BOSS. Indeed don't like the projector and will probably never use it but can't take it off.

Good to know the HypEye might not work. I'll bring it to the shop to test.

Trunk, any idea if you'll get an updated version for this camera?

yep, in the manual says the VMC-AVM1 adapter is not compatible, the same like in almost every model since the CX410/430...
Looking forward for your test with my wide angle converter lens! :-)

Given that there are no wide angle converters designed to resolve 4K, there will be a significant loss of resolution, so beware...

For sure every converter will give some loss. Though the wide angle from Gus is by far the best lens I've ever had. Super sharp all over.

It would be good to really measure the resolution.

It's very, very easy to measure resolution; I have both charts and lasers.
I'd be stunned if it could accurately resolve 4K.

Gus?
