Trying to update my helmet/gear...

Recommended Posts

I have an old Rawa helmet which I have a DSLR on top and a box for an old Sony HC42 on the side. Our DZ is all digital so I need to get a new camera or come up with some other options...

The box won't hold any of the CX models, even with an insert. I asked my friend about building an insert to help fill the box but no luck.

So any suggestions?

I could try to remove that box and just put an L-Bracket on the side. Or snag a newer go-pro and mount it in the front. I'm open to suggestions to what you guys have done with your old helmets that you don't want to get rid of yet...

Thanks

looks like you can still get boxes for the cx100-150 line.

Before getting my FTP, I had a CX150 side mounted with the cookie box. worked fine.

Could you go with an action cam? I know some DZs do, and some don't, but the new sony with IS seems really appealing to me.

Yeah I could do an action cam....

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm hesitant to buy another box because that adds $120 to the cost plus a camera. For something that I will only use skydiving. However maybe that is the best option.
