Cutting over to a new computer (Apple), what video/photo suites to use?

Almost have enough to get hooked up with a new system (current one is 6 years old and long in the tooth). Looking for one that works well with GoPro as well as DSLR systems. Not looking to do 3D or 4K, just good video and things for fun and profit.
Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... It really pisses him off.
