skydiveoc 0 #1 June 6, 2011 I've been posting tandem vids to YouTube with the same music for a few weeks now. All of a sudden my vids are uploading without music. It is supposedly royalty free music. Is this a rendering problem or YouTube removing copyrighted music?
soulbabel 0 #2 June 6, 2011 You need to check settings in your video editing program for the problem, because YouTube isn't capable of muting out just a part of your audio track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbg3uz8GDig&feature=player_profilepage#t=88s Try watching the source file you uploaded for this video, and see if the music is missing there as well. jumpsalot-2 2 #3 June 6, 2011 If it's the same music everytime, they would mute all of those vids, not just the new stuff. When they mute, they mute the entire audio on your vid, and attach a copywrite notice that you would see clearly.Life is short ... jump often.

The music track may be muted in Vegas: check out your affected .VEG files and see if the music track looks greyed-out. Also try playing through sections of the .VEG file where music should be, and see if you hear the music in Vegas. I agree with soulbabel.. this appears to be something happening before YouTube gets the video. Chris

DSE 3 #6 June 6, 2011 What format are you rendering to for YouTube? If you're using the MPEG generated for DVD, then you won't have audio, because the audio is not embedded in the video stream; it's a separate file. if you're rendering to an MP4 or WMV for YT submission, then the audio is embedded in the file before you upload it. It's possible this music may not be royalty-free, or else YouTube seems to think it isn't royalty-free. What is the source?
