dreamdancer 0 #1 May 27, 2011 i'm planning on using a couple of small microwave links to transmit freefall video footage from thai sky adventures this autumn. if the results are acceptable the idea is to plug the live footage into a computer and then to the internet and have a live skydive channel. anyone have any experience with anything like this? has it been tried before?stay away from moving propellers - they bite blue skies from thai sky adventures good solid response-provoking keyboarding
ltdiver 3 #2 May 28, 2011 Quotehas it been tried before? Perris had internet feed video cams around the packing, manifest, and loading area when DZ Manager Jack Gramley was here. About 5 or so years ago. He now owns a successful computer business up in Las Vegas. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

4dbill 0 #4 May 28, 2011 Internet streaming of live video camera is quite common for home/business security system, but it’s limited to only a few viewers. If you want to have hundreds/thousands of viewers access the video at the same time, you’ll need some sort of streaming server. Google will reveal many companies who specialize in such service for pretty hefty sum. There are, however, free advertisement based servers -- USTREAM, Livestream, Camstream are some of them. I used Camstream video streaming server, to set up the Lodicam.com last year. It’s not perfect, but it’s FREE! 4DBill http://4dbill.com
