Acoisa 0 #1 August 6, 2009 Hi, I want to remove the DC in and A/V R Lid od the camera in order for it to take up less space in the box. Has anyone tried this? I have already removed the hand holding strap by unscrewing a part of the camera housing, but I can't find a way to access the attachment of the DC IN cover, and I only want to cut it off as a last resort.. punkd 0 #4 August 6, 2009 I played with mine for about 30 seconds, then also just ripped it off. Meh.. I love the looks I got from my roommate when I take a brand new camera out of the wrapping and first thing I do is go for my tool box. 2 minutes later the camera is in pieces to remove the hand strap then im ripping parts off of it. Dr.Armin 0 #5 August 10, 2009 Yea, but why? That remote socket is so big, that the hand strap fits under it and the lid can be bend over towards front. In my opinion there is no reason to modify anything. Armin
