What would this cable be called??

Ok, so I used to have a Pentax *ist DS top mounted to my helmet, with a bite switch going into the remote port, which is really little.

I now have a Canon 40D attached, but the remote port is much larger.. so I need some kind of cable in between that converts so I can connect the bigger port to the smaller plug?? If that makes sense?

But I have no idea where I would buy one (Camera store, electronics store, skydiving store??) and what it would be called!! Any ideas??

It's called a digital plug. Conceptus makes a bite switch with that plug. Only place I've found that sells them is paragear.

the 40d uses an N3 plug...

i constructed a 2.5 mm to N3 adapter using the info from this page.

I wrote to aerostore the other day to see if they can get the digital plug switches. They now have them in stock and available on their website too.
