Are the presale dates on the sony site legit? I'm desperate for a camera, ready to get a cx7 here but wait...cx12 should be out in 10days?

I was told pre sales will come out on the 20th in Japan?. I was also told that smile control when on will take a stills shot WHENEVER someone smiles while your recording video..... Would anyone actually use this while skydiving?

Would the quality of the still be any different from a screen grab?

So im guessing im asking all you knowledgeable people out there is. Do you think its worth the money considering what you can pick up a second hand cx7 for? Is there THAT much of a difference between the two?

Aside from the greater manual control, it has a better encoder. I haven't had the opp to dual mount for comparison.

Aparently(2nd hand information), but only 3 imges during freefall, the hype eye pro allows you to do this.
