---> How do you add a 'voice over' to a DVD movie?

Recommended Posts

That's a lot of steps to explain.

There are LOTS of programs that can do that.
IF you had adobe premeire you would import the video.

once you did that you would be able to see the vid and audio tracks. you can mute the audio track.

than you can record your voice over it

Either by hooking a mic to your computer or by watching the video on your tv/comp and speaking into the camera. then you'd have to import THAT audio track and lay it inplace of the original (or layer it)

those are the very vague and basic steps.

Cool, thanks! I probably want to leave the original soundtrack and a narrator, just make it more quiet and put my voice over it.

Can anyone give me more product names that can do it? Any free software out there (freeware, trial versions that can handle 60 minute movies?, etc.)?

Windows has a built in MovieMaker software that can import video from certian formats. If you are needing to take a DVD and convert it for an editable format then Google has lots of links for that.
