Sony DCRHC96???

Hi

Have you try the sony DCRHC96 for skydiving?
Maybe a bit wide if I want to use it on the side of my hemet?
Any info about that cam?

Yes it's being used for skydiving. Topmount it not sidemount it it's too wide.

I have one and use it for skydiving. It is a bit wide. I tried it side mounted and it sticks out too far. I have mine mounted on a Skydance Sonic. I can fit both the 96 and a Digital Rebel mounted on the top side by side. I started with the HC36, and it was very good, but had no LANC. But the 96 does. It shoots great video.

I use manual focus on sports mode, witha .45 wide angle lense, and it works great!

I use my 96 as a side mount and it isn't too bad. Check out the Cookie helmets for it.

Its only 72mm wide as naked.

I agree, way to wide to be side mounted. I jumped the 36 (same size) side mounted "once" and that's all i took to convince me to top mount it.

I think the 96 is about 1/4" wider.
