Inspecting crossports

Recommended Posts

Quote

I was just reading on www.noexcusesrigging.com....

Quote

During inspections prudent riggers pull the ribs over their heads to directly inspect rib seams and crossports.

I got a chuckle just thinking about my rigger with his head up my cells.

I would even pay money to see that! (just not a lot of money)

If your rigger won't do, it who will?

I found a canopysizing chart from the same site and there are some interesting things they are listing :

For example :

Volume Area Source

SABRE 170 397 171 PIA
Sabre 170 451 179 Para Gear

But then again :

Volume Area Source

SABRE 150 398 159 PIA
Sabre 150 413 159 Para Gear

Why is there such a difference in the measurements done by PIA and Paragear in the 170 and a lot smaller difference in the measurements of the 150 ??

Also :
Volume Area Source

Spectre 107 296 99 Para Gear
Spectre 120 321 135 Para Gear

WTF is that ??

Does that mean a 107 Spectre is actually 36sqft smaller than the 120 ??

Larry - I'll put my head up your cells, but it stops there, okay Dude!

(Well unless I get dinner and flowers - but you'd better call me dammit!) - by the way - I thought I'd found you a container, but that reserve won't fit in it, sorry bud!

Pete Draper,

Just because my life plan is written on the back of a Hooter's Napkin, it's still a life plan.... right?
