I had the HC3 on q quickrelease plate topmounted on an Optic - after bumping it into play mode on climbout (185) I shelled out $183+change for a bonehead box.... we'll see how it works. the main switch protrudes the highest on the cam, so I felt that unless you are ALWAYS jumping big jumpships and are fully aware the box will save you those few embarassing times...
