Sony Pc1 Error C:31:30

Anyone ever have this error? What did you do to fix it?

The camera turns on fine a bit noisy when loading the tape and seems to skip when playing tape after about 2 second it stops and blinks C:31:30

I think I had this error, in my case, cause was that transport mechanism went out of synchronization.
I went to Sony service and now it is fine.

I had the same thing going on with a trv 525 today,
try taking the battery off and see if it resets, it worked for me and now the camera works fine.

FWY- when I did it I had the camera powered up in vtr (play back mode) and then pulled the battery off.
waited ten seconds and set the camera to off and then put the battery back on, turned it on and it was reset, working fine now.
I just tried it after following the link posted to another link and reading a post there.

On page 91 in my PC1 Manual it says to just reset the camera to clear this error code. 1) Remove the tape and re-insert it into the camera and try it. 2) Reset camera by removing battery and AC power and then turn on for 10 seconds or so, turn back off and re-install the battery or AC power.
