Talon3 vs. TalonFS

Recommended Posts

I haven't seen the Talon FS in real life yet, but I'm interested in it, as I'm about to buy new gear. The Talon 3 is based very much on the Talon2, and has the same look. The TalonFS is based on the VooDoo, with all the extra protection for the pins and the risers. Also, it has the cut-in back strap (like on the Odyssey), which looks really comfortable. Probably there's much more to say.

The only info I've seen online is from Parachutes Australia. There, they also have info on the Talon3. Bye the way, the TalonFS comes fully loaded, the `only' option is stainless-steel (that is, if you buy in the states, in Australia, stainless steel seems to be included?). Has anyone more info, on how it fits in an actual skydive?

The Talon 3 is only sold in Australia and is as mentioned a development based on the Talon 2. I do not think that Rigging Innovations is going to sell the "3" in the US. It is a very nice rig (i've got one ).
The FS has a lot of features in common with the VoooDoo but they are not identical. I have seen both and I think the FS is better. The FS is great - extremely comfortable and I would place it up there with the new Javelin.
The FS is only designed to take canopies up to 170 Sq.Ft. - I have a 190 and thats why I went for the "3".
