Post your Camera Helmet .....

Recommended Posts

no neck brace required.
On deployment, hands on the chin keep things in place. A neckbrace would get in the way of flying.
It's not heavy, it's just torque.
Yes, a hard opening would be devastating, and this helmet setup is now done, no more jumps with it. It accomplished what it needed to accomplish. It was a great experience(s) but we're parting ways now. :P

Flat top pro with extra large top plate
2x Flatlocks
Stills: canon 7d with sigma 10-20mm
Video: NEX5N with 16mm lens / gopro 3 black
I will also mount a led light bank on the front L bracket instead of the gopro and hopefully upgrading to a 6d with 17-40mm lens soon

Nice setup!

Have you considered grinding down the post after the clamp? Esp. since it is on your pull side.

My setup is similar, but I have the Nex3N where you have your gopro, and the gopro on top (standard plate).

Here is my new/used helmet.
I would like to get a still setup in the future.
Sony AS100v side mounted to a cookie G3.
I fabricated the mount from aluminum and did the paintjob with Spray paint. Im really happy with how it turned out! im loving the side mount and lack of weight on top of my head!!!

Bonehead Optik:
- GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition mounted with a custommade stainless steel L-Bracket for video
- Canon EOS 650D (Rebel T4i) with the EF-S 10-22mm lens mounted with X-Shut quickrelease for stills
- Larsen & Brusgaard Newton Ringsight with Schumacher quickrelease
- Conceptus tongue switch

(Paid) main application at the moment are tandem jumps...

Any ideas where to mount a flash? ;)
