maxine 0 #8 February 23, 2009 Quick synopsis: Hi and a huge thanks to all those who came along and either participated or just watched and supported. We had 28 teams in total; 22 in the 4-way event and 6 in the 2-way VRW event. I'll post the scores up shortly. It was great to see so many teams put together for the event itself, including a 4-way team hybrid with two belly and two back flyers (some ingenious continuity on that!). We loved the fact that so many of the open 4-way competitors took the opportunity to compete with inter teams. We also saw a host of people trying VRW for the first time - awesome. Big thanks to Paraclete XP for their continued support as our official sponsor for Jump For The Cause, big thanks to CaSL for inviting us to co-host, and to our judges Brian Krause and Chris Talbert for their time and good humour (nothing to do with the beer). Also the instructors earned their money and a special award goes to Earl - we've never seen you so active buddy!!!We raised a staggering $3,500 from the event, due in part to the huge turnout of teams, and from the sale of merchandise and raffle tickets. More to follow on the 'Mother of All Raffles' which includes hours of tunnel time coached by World Champions, as well as vouchers, equipment, clothing etc etc... Watch this space. We really enjoyed it and who knows, we may do it again some time soon Maxine and Karen JFTC North Carolina email: [email protected]
