AudreyRowe 0 #1 May 22, 2007 We built a 52 way Red Cross on Sunday over Langar Airfield UK which was held for over 10 seconds We were aiming to break the current 60 way British female FS record but abysmal weather kept us on the ground for 5 days, leaving only 1 day and 5 jumps to do it! The 52 way was built on the 3rd attempt with 2 further attempts at a 68 way Red Cross incomplete. This was all in aid of the British Red Cross to raise awareness and funds, Over 20k raised so far! see link below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nkBmfkj2-A edited to make clicky

skytash 0 #3 May 22, 2007 and without me knowing, the guys in the office this morning were running a sweepstake on the picture in Metro to pick me out - all the money to go to the Red Cross. Great idea I had no idea of until I was asked to point myself out and was duly handed the money (minus the pound back to the guy who had picked me out)tash Don't ever save anything for a special occasion. vt1977 0 #4 May 22, 2007 Here are some pics - including a lovely pic of that beautiful 52-way red cross!!! http://www.britchicks.org/media.htm A real shame about the British weather not cooperating for the first 5 days, but Lesley and the rest of the organising team absolutely ROCKED and we really couldn't have hoped for a nicer team of chicks. And Tash... I LOVE the idea of running a sweepstake to guess which chick in red is their workmate! If all 52 of us did that, we'd raise... [Vicki hunts for calculator...] quite a lot of extra cash for the Red Cross!!! Cheers to all the wonderful Brit Chicks for making it such a fun event despite the dire weather!
