quade 3 #1 January 23, 2003 QuoteMarch 29/30th, the French wind tunnel is organizing a World premiere :The 1st Indoor Formation Skydiving Competition !The will be a 2 categories :Intermediate = 3way meet = randoms & rotations (registration by 3 or 4skydivers)Advanced = 4way meet = 90% of FAI program (registration for team averaging 9and above)There shall be 8 rounds. Each round, the team is up for 2 minutes. The 1stminute, they "dirt-dive" and prepare the sequence. The 2nd minute, when theyare ready, they build a star and launch the sequence for 20 points straight. Each team runs against the clock and gets a "time" as a result, witheventual bosts adding penalty "time". Therefore no point is scored but atotal time : the regular scoring system does not make any difference inbetween two teams scoring their last point in 32 or 34 seconds, meanwhilehere it will show !Their will be prizes (tunnel time and karting as well as other things)offered not only to the winners but also to teams selected by random amongthe participants.Team interested may already email me at [email protected]March 29th/30th (from 8 am to 5 pm)The number of teams will be limited ... we only have 1 wind tunnel so far !Manu Ars, chief instructorVéloce Parachutisme / Maison de l'air / 05 130 Tallardwww.veloce-skydive.comTel : +33 4 92 54 11 33[editorial]It may be a lot of things, but it ain't skydiving.[/editorial]quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

quade 3 #3 January 23, 2003 Geeze man, you'd know that better than -I- would! Hey, if tunnel flying is your thing, go for it. No issues there. As a matter of fact, it's probably appropriate that tunnel competitions exist if for nothing else than a marketing tool for the tunnels. I do take exception at it being called skydiving though.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
