how deep should new pond be?

Recommended Posts

id say the 1m or just over 3ft mark deep sounds best. Gives a higher safety margin when someone does skip off the water and flip through their risers head first into the pond. the deeper the better imo.

also it will take longer to heat the water body causing less evaporation? only a guess but its seems logical

I think I read 0.6m, but some are suggesting 1m. Thanks, guys

just shallow enough in the middle so you can stand up and your reserve pack tray is out of the water. Most I have seen/ swooped are around 2.5 feet deep in the middle. Ours here at Raeford Parachute Center in NC is 100' x 300'
