piisfish 135 #2 January 13, 2012 quick question. How deep can you go on your brakes ? Seems to me you fly pretty deep (scary to me). But I have no experience under such canopies. Only regular paragliders (since 1988) and parachutes since 2002 (jumping regularly a 109 loaded at 1.9)scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
5.samadhi 0 #3 January 14, 2012 I have seen some other soaring footage and watched some higher wind soaring in person and it always looks so terribly unappealing. It looks like the equivalent of trying to walk forward and having somebody hold you back with varying amounts of force but I'm glad you are having fun that is what matters

A lot of the (very) forgiving speed flying canopies like the Gin Bobcat or Ozone Bullet lines are pretty resistant to stalls and can be flown in deep brakes relatively safely compared to the average paraglider. Also, the "feel" of the glider(s) seems to me to be a LOT more communicative compared to any skydiving canopy I have flown.
AdD 1 #5 January 16, 2012 Ya the Bobcat it naturally trimmed pretty far forward so a lot of brake is ok. You're not the first to say it looks funny ;)Life is ez On the dz Every jumper's dream 3 rigs and an airstream
