freeflydemon 0 #1 June 14, 2011 Anyone jumped both canopies? I'm looking for the best stress free opening on a x-braced canopy. Which one do you think opens better?
Andy82 0 #2 June 14, 2011 The openings of a JFX are really nice. Not that long but still soft and always on heading. I can't say something about the Xaos, because I have never jumped that canopy. Video from JFX openings: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1942283489405&oid=139399876089729&comments&set=o.139399876089729&type=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53egmyIGb38
stayhigh 2 #3 June 15, 2011 JFX snivels much less, little more positive at the end. vs the xaos 21. they both open nice if you have solid body position from pitch to saddle.Bernie Sanders for President 2016
alge 0 #4 June 28, 2011 I doubt it snivels longer than this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IK3uWGdh6eA (=

krisco 0 #7 November 24, 2011 Xaos 21 = Sweet sweet Love! She Snivels 800+ feet! Never opens hard! She sometimes searches but nothing like a velo! Pretty Rad for an X-braced! Haven't Jumped it but I heard the JFX is similar with a quicker opening.Skydivers are nothing but a bunch of Narcissistic A$$holes!! Front risers were made for pulling! Empadinha 0 #8 November 24, 2011 I agree with krisco. I´m jumping my XAOS 21 98 loaded at 1.9 and I love this wing. She opens super snively and sometimes tends to search a bit, nothing major. Here´s a video of one of my openings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FbNEX3fxMoWhen in Danger or in doubt run in circles scream and shout.
freeflydemon 0 #9 November 24, 2011 There is at least 4 Xaos21 in my home DZ, and all of them opens as that.... really really great...but i think JFX has a little faster opening (good for a back injury) and less seeker.
daleskydive 0 #10 December 21, 2011 Hi ffdeamon I was thinking about a JFX in the future but have a spinal injury, one of the reasons I love my xfire. Are you saying that the JFX is fine if you have a back injury or that it may give you one . Cheers Shakey and yes I do know im a few hundred jumps off getting a Xbraced[email][email protected]
freeflydemon 0 #11 January 31, 2012 I actually bought a Xaos 21 112. I'll let you know as soon as I jump it
EduardoVincente 0 #12 January 31, 2012 I have about 350 jumps on my Xaos 21 - 118, I love the canopy! The openings are really good for the vast majority of jumps I have on it. As previously mentioned it will search around a little bit but if you just go with it it usually works out. I can think of a couple of times that it rung my bell but I am sure that they were just anomalies. Fun to fly...haven't flown a JFX so no comment on that.nakEd
Venom1986 0 #13 February 9, 2012 I haven't flown a Xaos but I love the way my JFX flys and the soft openings always on heading.
andubkov 0 #14 December 14, 2014 Is Xaos-21 still worth considering these days, given that it was introduced in 2001? And precision's website looks not very up to date... Doesn't seem like it's a popular canopy now (based on number of ads in classifieds section) - might be hard to sell? Although all the reviews are definitely encouraging, and the price is lower than JFX.
