customguy79 0 #1 February 24, 2010 I notices on NZ aerosports the wingloading range for a safire 2 is 0.75 up to 1.9 what would be the sweetspot as far as wingloading. I know after that point a switch to a crossfire2 would be ideal. Any thoughts would be great.
Pendragon 1 #2 February 24, 2010 1.4 to 1.6. Much higher than that and you should think about a Xfire2. I regularly jump a Safire2 129 @ 1.6 for wingsuiting and get nice swoops out of it doing 270 turns. At a lower wingloading, the riser pressure may build up too quickly to go much beyond 180s. Personally I would load a Xfire2 around 1.8 - they're way more fun and take on a whole different meaning than how they behave at 1.6 in my experience. Higher than that you should go xbraced.-- BASE #1182 Muff #3573 PFI #52; UK WSI #

dharma1976 0 #4 February 25, 2010 I had a 109 when I weighed in nekkid at 200 that was a hoot but would kinda give up quickly at the end, but was a pisser to fly and then I started flying crossbraced and was much happier dhttp://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
