rhys 0 #1 March 31, 2009 Hi, Just wanting to know the difference between say a JVX79 and a VX 79. or just the relative percentage difference. round or abouts. thanks, rhys"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
frost 1 #2 April 1, 2009 ZP JVX? not much, if any. JVX92 fits in the same container that held VX96, same pack job volume, +/-
rhys 0 #3 April 1, 2009 yeah, ZP more specifically, i should say why i need this information. i have just bought 2 new micron v304's. On the UPT sizing chart it says a micron V304 it will fit a VX 79 comfortably, and an VX84 tight. Currently I am using a zp jvx 86 with HMA lines. Though the 86 is not my canopy i will be using it until my JVX79 gets to me. Do you think the sizing charts would consider the difference between vectran and HMA in packing volume.... I am pretty sure my 79 will be sweet but the 86 I am not so sure of? http://www.uptvector.com/PDF/Sizing-Chart.pdf Thanks for any help, shit i can't wait to jump my new setup!!!!! frost 1 #4 April 1, 2009 i am not familiar with micron's, i am a mirage guy :) based on my experience a JVX92 with HMA fits comfortably in the same Mirage container (MX-1/2) in which i had VX94 with vectran and 96/97 with HMA. On their site, Mirage doesnt even have a VX bigger than an 84 listed for that container size. Their earlier system would've said that 97 sq ft VX was not recommended/wouldnt fit in an MX-1/2, but as i said - it did fit quite well. So if i was to make an educated guess, but dont quote me, i'd think that you will have to work a bit to fit the JVX86 into a container that will hold a VX84 tightly, but it would fit.
