HP canopy flocking

So, recently, I got the opportunity to do some pretty crazy big way flocking stuff. The dives ranged from complicated and tight, to looser formations - all focusing on proximity flying.

It really highlighted, to me at least, how little time we as HP pilots spend developing these skill sets. Like most of us (swoopers), I've focused almost all of my career on....well....swooping.

I'm curious to see how many people out there work on this regularly, and what the interest is in getting a few of us together to do some fun stuff so we can develop this aspect of HP piloting further
I know I definitely want to improve my skills in this area.

We do it every once in a while at the Ranch on sunset jumps. The problem is getting the people together, some are working, some want to freefly, some are just tired... but flocking is a lot of fun. And even though most of us are just ready to drink beer after a meet, we should bring back the tradition of doing a post meet flocking dive.

not much flocking... We do full blown crew. Gets exciting quick when we stack it up.

I would totally be up for it. I love that kind of stuff and am not able to do enough here because of stuff like mike said. I will be at the farm friday, saturday, and prob. half the day sunday, so I vote we do at least one there

I flock whenever possible. Really - aside from swooping, it is one of my favorite skydiving activities. I would be all for a post meet flock.

I've done a decent amount of smaller stuff, 2 to 4 way flocks. Its defiantly a great time and it gives you an opportunity to work on your body position under canopy.

yeah me too. It wasn't until the bigger stuff, though, that I realized how much I had to work on. Much more difficult when you can't just make corrections on a whim

i try to end every weekend with a sunday sunset canopy flock jump here at the ranch...we always have a bunch of people who are down for it...

Used to be a group of us doing it all the time down at Perris, no contact and even some light CRW.

I try to get in a few here and there when I can.
