YonatanRan 0 #4 August 22, 2005 I just heard that work is being done on the Cross Keys Pond to make it longer and wider.... Aside from the fact that the pond already rocks and is perfect for swooping now its gonna be even better... All work should be done in time for the meet.... This is gonna rock.... YonatanRan 0 #6 September 14, 2005 Hey Hey guys....The pond in Cross keys is done and being refilled with water as we speak, We wont know how big it is till its full but I estimate that it's almost 300 foot in length and something like 200-250 feet in width......I'm stoked and can't wait to swoop it..... I'm actualy scared....that thing is Huge.....
ccowden 0 #7 September 14, 2005 So, there will be 3 different events and 3 jumps in each event for a total of 9? Guess I am not exactly clear on it. And what about team expression. Are people going to be randomly paired? And if not, what if you don't have a teammate?
SkymonkeyONE 3 #8 September 14, 2005 In every meet I have been to which had team events, you had to show up already paired or at least have time to put together a pick-up team and practice before the comp. A partner and I were not allowed to compete in the team event at SkyQuest one year because the judges did not like our "crossing" style of setup and turn execution. ccowden 0 #9 September 14, 2005 So what if you don't have a teammate? Does that event count towards your overall score, or is it seperate?
SkymonkeyONE 3 #10 September 14, 2005 Not sure about that meet. At PST events team events went toward your four-person team score. Individual events counted toward your individual ranking.
YonatanRan 0 #11 September 19, 2005 The Team events and the single events in the swoop for the cause are going to be separet...so if you don't have a team member, no worries....it wont affect your score in any way..... Good ones....
Skyvanfan 0 #12 September 29, 2005 I heard that, since it is a Jump for the Cause fundraiser, that competitors have to wear bras to compete. True?? Do the male competitors get extra style points for that?
berchtoldaj 0 #13 September 29, 2005 I see the rumors are circulating. The charity these competitors are raising money for is very serious, as is the cash purse they're competing for, but guys wearing bra's? now thats damn funny. oh, and we've renamed all the freestyle moves. (except the can can) ************ Watch out for planters.
