Thanks for the update Jason. I'm a little bummed that the 2nd event is scheduled on the same day that my high school reunion is being held on up in Montreal (and I will be at the reunion). So I've lost my one throw away result event. But that's my problem not yours. Thanks for the info. Now I can plan my spring and summer jumping schedule.

PS: You don't mind if I do a rain dance on the weekend of May 21st-22nd now do you? ;)

Grant,

The four of us need to get together this weekend and work out the final details. We have a lot to do before april 23.

BTW, want to place bets on the first guy to go dirt water dirt on a 369 foot pond? i few names come to mind, but it will be awsome to see.

The WX isn't looking good for CO this weekend (Sunday might be jumpable, but it's too early to know). So I'm thinking of heading to Twin instead. It won't help me for my swoop training (needed to beat you guys :o), but at least I will be jumping. Not sure what sort of jumping (if any) will be had in CO this weekend. [:/]

Oh and I won't be the first to go Dirt-Water-Dirt. But I do expect one day to go Dirt-Water-Chow. :)

He has gotten good. The last time I saw him was at NSL swoop comp a year and a half ago. I had a budy of mine from Canon tell me that they saw him at Z-hills the other weekend. I was at the swoop comp where he got that picture taken of him on the pond at Perris, that graced the back cover of skydiving mag for the longest time for GO FAST. That's when i met him. I was talking Ryan T into competeing for the CPC this year. I think he could be fairly competetive, if he stays consistant.

I'm having positive thoughts allready, about the WX. All of this talking about the cpc makes me want to go out and jump. Doing about 10-15 hop and pops wouldn't hurt me, as I don't feel ultra current this season yet.

Now now ... don't be talking about me like that. Oops, you were talking about Scott Roberts weren't you. Isn't he a pro qualified PSTer? You've got to be good to be pro qualified.

Cool ... the more the merrier. And consitency will be the key for all of us. I can easily name 5 people who are more experienced than I am. But I still plan on beating y'all. Now how's that for trash talking over-confidence. :) Seriously, it's all in good fun. I will try and do the best that I can and see where that lands me. If I'm not top 5 by the end of the summer, well as I said I can easily name 5 people who are more experienced than I am. :)

Jason,

I actually have been out to MH the last few weekends. I was jumping at DS, but that ended abruptly...hopefully ralphy can get things going again. Anyway...i'm gonna try to make it out this weekend again. If you're there I'll come introduce myself. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good weather at least one day this weekend. Need to get jumping on a more consistant basis again now that the weather is getting better.

Cheers,
Travis

Jason/Spizz:
Have you guys discovered the wonders of Email yet? It's pretty cool--you can carry on conversations without everyone on the board reading them! You can even talk shit about me without me knowing!;)

J:
You should mention the pond swooping req's as well!

Steve:
Get your priorities straight man--1. BASE 2. swoop 3. reuinion. Oh, and I think I'm the favorite for the first for water--CHOW. I'm guessing that the first D-W-D candidate won't be from Colorado!!

I was reading the CPC rules last night on the http://www.canopypiloting.com/cpcrules.htm website and I have a question or two for you.

Will we be doing two rounds of Distance, two rounds of Speed and two rounds of Zone Accuracy for each competition? Plus will the speed round be a carving course? I hope it is as described on the CPC site.

Looks like I need to practice more than just your typical hook-turn hit the gates and see how far you can go (your classic distance round). It also looks like I need to practice carving (which I've done before) as well as see if I can dial in some zone accuracy.

This will be a great summer to gain some competition experience and to learn to do more than swooping for distance. And I guess this is the whole idea behind the CPC. I'm looking to a fun season of swoop comps regardless of where I finish in the standings (but I'm still planning on beating y'all even if you have more experience than me ... bring it on).
