These users will offer gear in the classifieds and when you attempt to buy it, they will often ask that you send the money via PayPal as a gift. NEVER send payment for a gear item as a gift, the reason being that there is a policy where PayPal will not get involved in disputes that are gifts, meaning if you are scammed of your money, you're not likely to get it back. These users have since been disabled from the site: omthurr nstimmd axesrer eightieg nsshfie elaoop If you have contacted one of these users to purchase gear, we recommend cutting contact immediately. We continue to urge users to ask questions to both buyers and sellers to establish their legitimacy. If possible, get in contact with their DZ or rigger to confirm this, or work the sale through an Escrow service. Unfortunately since we offer a free service which allows any registered user to submit and respond to ads, we are faced with challenges with regards to these scammers, but we will continue to do our best to alert you to these users and continue to provide tips and new information to make the safest possible transactions.
