Remember:

  • DO NOT do business with anyone who offers to send you payment for a higher amount than your selling price with the understanding that you'll send back the balance.

  • Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be acting on behalf of a "client" or another "customer".

  • Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be from Nigeria or West Africa

  • If you agree to accept a check payment, then do not send anything, gear or "change" before the check cleared. And be careful, if you manage to clear a fraudulent check then you may be liable for the damages if the bank finds out later. Make sure your bank authenticates the check.

  • If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is.

hi, had a email from the same guy trying to scam me with one of his cashier checks.
I knew something was not right when he emailed me back telling me he only purchased gear with cashiers checks and does not use Paypal at all and never has before

Would love to meet this guy and do so something with his cashiers check on him.
What a piece of crap he is

Same thing happened to me. He wouldn't use PayPal and wanted to send a check. I replied that I knew he was scamming me and that what I expected next was for him to send a check for more than the amount an I would forward the extra money to someone else from my account. Well he got pissed, and his English suddenly got a whole lot better! He was writing using proper gramer. I just sent the emails to abuse@ DZ.com
