AggieDave 6 #2 September 27, 2002 I was told Red top.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
mujie96 0 #3 September 27, 2002 What are you scotch guarding? Yeah, I'm dumb, Jess Just keep swimming...just keep swimming....
AndyMan 7 #4 September 27, 2002 QuoteWhat are you scotch guarding? The container, I hope. It helps with grass stains. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
Kris 0 #5 September 27, 2002 Use the red top. Don't use heavy coats, just 3 or 4 light coats with plenty of drying time in between. Also, pick up some Shout wipes and put them in your gearbag. They're a lifesaver. Jess, Scotchguard is used on rigs to help make them easier to clean. You do the above when you get it in and before any canopies are put into it. nacmacfeegle 0 #6 September 27, 2002 I used red top on my rig, no adverse effects yet. (Purple, white, navy and lots of tie dye) As said here many light coats are better than one biggy. One can should do you for a container.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. weid14 0 #7 September 27, 2002 if you land standing up, you dont' need the stuff but I told you already my vote for red top
 slotperfect 7 #8 September 27, 2002 I called Sun Path before I got my new Odyssey and asked them the same thing . . . here's what they said: 1) Red Cap Scoth Guard, Two Coats 2) Shake the can LOTS before AND during the application. Any large blots of liquid that come out because of lack of shaking will stain the rig. I did exactly that, adding a third coat over the neon yellow embroidery. I let it dry overnight between coats.Arrive Safely John
 slotperfect 7 #9 September 27, 2002 Great tip on the Shout wipes . . . thanks!Arrive Safely John
 Cacophony 0 #10 October 4, 2002 I have used the Red can of scotchguard on my rig several times.
 sundevil777 93 #16 February 20, 2013 It is best to apply it before canopies are in so that you can get to all areas of the flaps, but it should not matter in terms of it getting to the canopy as not that much should be applied. I can say that even when applied very heavily, it did not hurt a non-zp canopy I used to own.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired.
