Editing my Post

Why is it every time i attempt to edit my post i get an error? Anyone know?

This is when i hit the edit button, no more than say 5 minutes after i post all the way up to the 6 hour mark, its my post i should be able to edit it.

You can only edit a post up to 6 hours after you posted it. After this time period has expired the post is final and can not be changed.

Watcher, are you saying that you tried to change it 5 minutes after you posted the first time? Hmm....if so, that shouldn't happen. However, like HH sez, after 6 hrs, it is a part of history.

What browser are you using and do you accept cookies. Also, are you running some sort of "security" software like Norton Internet Security. Those can wreck havoc on stuff like these forums that run off of cookies.

IE 6.0 on win XP, No Virus Protection (i clean em as i get em), no Norton products, no firewalls, Accept all cookies. And i know about the 6 hour thing, thats not it either.

If it's any consolation, I get exactly the same error- I can't edit messages, even immediately after posting.
yes I accept cookies, etc
