TOS violations

I've been skimming the classifieds just to see what's out there and noticed something on a few postings... They're requiring the buyer to cover paypal's fees. This is against paypal TOS and they will not hesitate to take action if they find out. The last thing I want to see is anyone get a wrist-slap for something that should be so petty.

Maybe adding some kind of warning when a seller creates their listing (or in the listing guidelines) would be beneficial?

If you can't convince them, keep them confused.

I will ammend the Classifieds Guidelines to include a clause that recommends sellers avoid the practice.

Even if its paypals TOS which is stupid, you expect people to just eat $100-500 because you want to buy their item? They are just going to jack the price up if that becomes a rule here.

It definitely won't become a rule here, as we are not involved in the actual sale transaction and we're merely putting the two parties in touch with one another. We can not be held liable for anything that happens between the two parties.

However, we think it's worth letting people know, for their own benefit - that they may be breaching TOS with regards to PayPal.

I did not know until just now this was against pay pal policy, Having paid the fees as a buyer, I was going to ask that the fees be paid as a seller, You saved me a potential headache. Thank you for the information.
