the UPT device which works by holding passenger'chest with snaps, is just a piece of shit...I agree with you, Strong is even BAD, I can respect your opinion because you do not have the chance to compare with a real tandem passenger harness allowing a passenger taller than a pilot to land in a real sitting position without pulling the feet up. The reason why a manufacturer like UPT is not able to come up with a good product, is because they do not care about customers making only one skydive in their life and not buying any harness. The question for the TI is not to pick up the best passenger harness, but avoid the worst one, at this game UPT is questionnable....

Strong offered both long and short student risers over the years. I found the long risers easier to attach to the instructor's harness.

it is because the head of the student should be just below pilot's head level instead to be so low with Sigma passenger tandem, the reason why it is so low it is because the UPT tandem passenger harness is NOT a good one, it does not hold the top of the body in freefall (except by snaps) and it already put pressure on pilot's chest, I fixed both issues as you can see in the picture

My very first paying tandem (2006) passed out on me. I kicked his feet out in front of me right before I flared. I stood it up. Everything seem pretty easy after THAT beginning!

wow talk about slander. i'm a fairly new TI and have only jumped UPT, so you could say i'm biased, but i haven't had a problem yet with the student getting there legs up or having a tall student's head in my way.
you just sound angry. maybe it's because you are french or maybe you're mad bill came up with a better system? i don't know but i bet it makes bill smile reading your post.
