Skydive Simulator (mobile Vertical Wind Tunnel)

Recommended Posts

So I saw this on Ebay and thought I would check out their videos. Not impressed. I get this isn't skyventure, but it looks way underpowered.

I'm guessing this is just for the "extreme" factor of doing it once, but I didn't see anyone stay in the air for more than 5 seconds. I guess someone has actually used a wingsuit in the tunnel now...

We're not fucking flying airplanes are we, no we're flying a glorified kite with no power and it should be flown like one! - Stratostar

That's not a wingsuit.... it looks similar to one but I think it is a must to fly in that bc of the lack of power. Weak!
Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it.

I saw it too... if the bid stays at 2200 I would buy it but they said something about a base price of 200,000. yeah right! how much is a full blown real wind tunnel and what kind of horse power do they have? bet its far more than $200,000 and 850hp

if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is

From what I'm told, you're looking at 7.5 million for a recirculating SV tunnel. I'm guessing that the 5 million if more like what you'd pay for an open-ended one like Orlanda or Arizona.

If you're thinking of trying to do this, you probably want to figure in some operating capital to get you through the first year, also.

and also found this

actually... SkyVenture NH is not the same. We are faster due to a few different things. We have a fiberglass diffuser, our turn banks are smaller and such. Our horse power is 1200 and we have had our tunnel at 196mph.;) We have no lack of speed here at svnh. :)

Ok guys i think someone has just made the worst wind tunnel experiance you could ever have.

also the instructors look like they are trying to piss about as much as possible.

If this guy paid anymore than $5 for this experiance id tell him to ask for his money back.

hmmm. if this is a similar setup i have seen flyers 15-20ft above the walls without the aid of wings. there is a crew traveling the U.S. with one of these mobile "tunnels" representing ARMY, Dos Equis, and other corporate sponsors. i have flown it in as well as my kids and the air is quite turbulent. still fun, but not a real training tool.
the diamond can not be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials.

$12,221.21 but when you click on the auction listing it says this

"This listing (300404342793) has been removed, or this item is not available.

Please check that you've entered the correct item number

Im guessing that the seller has backed out of the deal since they were talking about $200,000 for the retail price
