FreeflyIndian 0 #1 March 31, 2009 Hello all Myself and three others are going to the Freezone wind tunnel (12.5ft one) in Russia in a couple months. Anyone got info/suggestions on accomodation there - close to the tunnel? Most appreciative of any info Blue ones Ria
KRBKV 0 #2 March 31, 2009 Hi! The closest one is Olympisky Hotel - appr. 10 km from the tunnel. The another one is appr. 40 km far away from the tunnel - rus-hotel.ru The difference in cheapest room's cost - 1000 RUR. Both rooms have two single beds. 3000 RUR - Olympisky Hotel vs. appr. 1900 RUR (discounted for our guests from regular 2800 RUR) - Rus-Hotel (rus-hotel.ru) As far i know, in Olympisky Hotel it is possible to request one additional bed. A taxi cab from the Olympisky Hotel costs 500 RUR, and from Rus-Hotel - appr. 2000 RUR. Sometimes we are able to pick up/bring people from/to Olympisky Hotel by our van of it's available. Free of charge. Good luck.

vadimuskoro 0 #4 March 31, 2009 Hi Guys, I agree Olimp-otel.ru is fine and close , but when you cant affort 66 euro/night stay, Having a spare low budget option is a right timing solution:) I am expecting Chehov Hotel/Motels update with cheaper prices than Olimp-Otel.ru will bring the best one's on , tonight with a limited, low budget Summer Promo Blocks of 11hrs Keep track of my posts.Vadimus Koro, +420 775 416 854 Www.SkydiveArena.info
KRBKV 0 #5 March 31, 2009 FYI These two hotels are only hotels in near with English speaking staff. The other could be cheaper, but without russian guide you will be dumb and deaf. Just to let you see the full picture.

mircan 0 #10 April 13, 2009 Great info! Me and some friends are coming in july. But I have one more question, two actually: - Can every hotel in Russia accept foreign gusets. Some of my friends from Serbia were there in march this year and they had to change hotel because they were told that the hotel does not take foreign guests. (?) - Second, is it OK to camp somewhere in the vicinity of freezone? Tents and all? Without danger of being arrested or robbed (you hava to bring a lot of cash to tunnel... not to mention cameras, laptops etc.) hope to see you. - Any hostels? *this is third question, I know... dudeist skydiver #
vadimuskoro 0 #11 April 13, 2009 Hello Mircan, 1.Cant tell for All hotels, there might be some exeptions, somewhere.... but all of the hotels I offered earlier are checked and they Do accept foreigners on a regular base for a quite competative price level. More hotels coming shortly :) 2.As for Camping on Frezone teritory, we are already working on this oportunity for this summer as an option for our guests, If camping will be aproved and confirmed it will be secured and cops free ;) Any way valluable staff can be left inside Freezone, in lockers . So far we have no info of neighbouring hostels, but i like the idea, Its fresh and we will work it out as an extra accommodation option. We look forward to work with you Mircan, We work, you Fly, thats it. mircan 0 #12 April 14, 2009 Thanks Vadim, one of my friends from Bosnia was there in december and speaks only best of your company. Camping or cheap lodging is very good solution for us that want to stay for a week or more. For the price of rooms for that period we can fly an additional hour or so... keep us posted. cu mircandudeist skydiver #
milan.resko 0 #13 April 17, 2009 Hi Mircan, we just returned from Freezone. We stayed at GRIN-Hotel in Podolsky, Vadim recommended it to us. It's about 40 minutes from tunnel by Freezone free bus. Very good and cheap - 7500 RUB for 3 nights in double room. Very good and clean for that money, accepts all credit cards. We didn't eat at hotel, we had breakfast in tunnel or McDonnald's just accross the street. But they have menu.

mircan 0 #16 April 27, 2009 Is there organized transport from Kolomna DZ to Freezone? I think I read about it somewhere on aerograd.ru, but I can not seem to find it now... Anyway, if I get the chance, I would go to Aerograd to do some jumps, and if there is transportation to freezone, maybe even stay there for the whole time and travel to tunnel.dudeist skydiver #
KRBKV 0 #17 April 27, 2009 Hi, It's about 100 km one way from DZ to Freezone... Is not too much for every day trip, is it? http://www.aerograd.ru/index_en.html - Aerograd useful info.
mircan 0 #18 April 27, 2009 QuoteWind tunnelNEW You can buy time from Moscow SkyVenture wind tunnel right on DZ. We'll organize transfer to/from tunnel from/to DZ for you and help you to find partners to share the time. Also - our highest-class tunnel instructors will be glad to coach you not only in the tunnel but also in the sky. Is this organized from time to time or on regular basis? I don`t mind traveling 100km everyday if it is free (and get me on time to the tunnel). ...Bunkhouse bed is only 400 rub/10euro, you are staying at the one of the best DZs in Europe (people and all...) Just the difference in accommodation price will cover the expenses of course that I plan to do at Aerograd...dudeist skydiver #

mircan 0 #20 April 27, 2009 I did. No response on e-mail for couple of days now. If this combination fails, maybe I`ll go there after tunnel... We`ll see then.dudeist skydiver #
degeneration 5 #21 April 27, 2009 I emailed Aerograd with pretty much the exact same question the other day and this is the response I got: "A car for 3 persons costs 3500 rub in 2 ways, of course if you are not going to stay in the wind tunnel more than 4-5 hours" So I'm not sure if that is they'll drive the 3 of us that are going to the tunnel and back as long as we're not there for longer than 4-5 hours, or whether we are given a car and have to drive ourselves?Sky Switches - Affordable stills camera tongue switches and conversion adaptors, supporting various brands of camera (Canon, Sony, Nikon, Panasonic).
