Txflier 0 #1 February 23, 2009 before you all kill me I did a search and couldn't find relevant info. I have 55 jumps and am going to be in Florida in March. I would like to learn to freefly and was considering getting some freefly coaching in the tunnel. Is this a realistic thing to expect to do? Or would my time be better spent learning some more belly skills? I have tried sit flying on a couple of my skydives and almost sat one up. I figured that it would be easier to practice my belly work on my skydives and use the tunnel to help me break into freeflying. c10edges 0 #2 February 23, 2009 all i can recommend is that you talk to mike bowen. screen name "Bowen". I got 30min coaching from him. He went way above and beyond with coaching. send him a pm. he is a manager there.
hparrish 0 #3 February 24, 2009 Orlando is not the BEST tunnel to learn freeflying in from what I hear. Unless they've upgraded it to support higher wind speeds. It's good to start learning the basics, like back flying and carving, and sit. But for larger folks or static HD, better tunnels would be Paraclete, Arizona, or Colorado. Again, they could have upgraded and have more powerful fans now.
