Name of older single point canopy release question

OK, this is kind of weird. This ad came on for Ally bank. The premise is that there are a bunch of people from all different walks of life heading to a meeting that Ally bank is having. I notice a guy that apparently just landed, gathered up his canopy an is headed to this meeting. So....being an old retired skydiver I notice this oddity. Backing up to that point in the ad I paused it and noticed that he had an old release system on the rig he is wearing but can't recall what it was called. Screen shot attached.

Can't see it very well but I think its a chrysalis. Used by Paraphernaila on Northern Lite before Northern Lite was sold to Velocity Sports.

Ah, should have known Mr. Urban would come up with it. Now that I know, sure enough that was the name. And now that you mention Northern Lite I remember that I had one. No wonder the release looked familiar.

I saw John Cutts with a similar set up, I believe he called it a "block and tackle."

I think it may have been limited to the rigs when Dan T. was making them. I don't remember any of the Northern Lite rigs Larry Chernis made having them, so probably gone well before Kelly F. took over from Larry. It may have still been an option with Larry but few taking it.

Pretty sure Dan only. I know Dan but have never asked. But the story that came back to his home DZ (mine) was that is was used in the tow boat barge industry in the NW. When the company that owned the rights found out what Dan was doing with it (skydiving) they said no more.

We had a bunch around here since Dan moved from here to buy Paraphernalia and we all knew him. But I can't find one for nothing.
