Nightdives

Recommended Posts

Here's a couple pix of a nightdive, early eighties out of Southern Cross,at Hooper's "new" DZ; I'd like to find a few more names. Line of flight is Bill Brandon, on his left leg is Henry (Wings),right leg Joannie and tail is Jake Brake. Then, going clockwise, there is Heidi in the middle, Peter Gannaw left, Tony Uragallo right with Mitch"Dakota" closing. Then ,John Yager in the middle, Paul Juel on the left, on the right???, closing is I think Eric Bradley. Next diamond is me in the middle and M.J. on my left, Right wing????( maybe Larry Boudreau) and tail????. The pics were by PinK Floyd.

Hey Wim- That's me on the tail of your diamond, with the bad grip on Larry?'s leg. I just looked at the back of that picture (on my wall); I did have some of the names on it. One name that you didn't mention was Jack Gregory. I know the date - January 28,1983. I think I had something to do with collecting the ringers so I could have a successful night jump on my birthday. According to my logbook, we tried a second point (16 way diamond) but one 4-way diamond didn't make it in.

John Yeager and Pink Floyd were old time Minnesota skydivers. John jumped a lot in Alexander, MN, and Pink jumped at Osceola, Wis.

I can still smell the aroma of conga coming out of the club house in Osceola, listening to Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, jamming away.

Ahh, the good old days! I'm glad to survive them.

Hi there Bob, where would you place Jack? I think he wasn't on that dive unless I mistake Heidi for Jack....
The jumper on Yagers right leg may be Joey Pacquin?
W.

Your right Wim, I'm not on that jump. If Bob's date is correct, January 28, 1983, I was in Otay California at the time helping run an AFF Certification Course (checked my log books).
