The planes went through changes periodically, each airline is different. TWA could of used them while NWO didn't. I've mentioned several times it should of been very simple for Boeing to say they went anywhere around the controls inside the stairwell. that should of been easy enough for the FBI to understand or anyone for that matter. why the blueprints? I think I could tell you where the lug nuts are on a vehicle without drawings...

These decals are regulated, the Hicks placard instruction do not match the interior main system at all so that one is out.

It is close but not exact for the optional one, the "two hole panel" but it isn't the outside panel decal.

It does match the exterior one which is actually inside the cavity and about 5 ft below the interior one. On a blueprint that might look like it was inside..?? Why didn't the FBI just add that blueprint in the files...

It has to be one of those two for the 727.

If it was the interior one behind the two hole panel than the FBI is lying and Cooper must have pulled the emergency system..

If it was the exterior one, actually inside the cavity then it could have fallen off any plane.

The problem I see with the chutes vs the documents is the lack of anyone saying they showed up from Cossey. we have plenty of documents for the other sets of chutes. even the highway patrol saying they blew the motor up in the car. Cossey wasn't home. how did they get there?

The lack of official documentation isn't a big deal.. it was chaotic, chutes arrived by cab, the receivers didn't know who they belonged to or care. They end up with 4 back chutes at the staging area and send two to the plane. The FBI mixed up the chutes and lost track of which was which. They don't want to admit that later.

The chute left in plane does not match the one returned to Hayden, this is the only explanation.

This doc implies there were 4 back chutes...

2 back chutes which he observed,,,

LATER,, 2 back chutes were delivered..

The blueprints will be very specific. I deal with them all day long. they can be specific to that airline. hundreds of blueprints are involved. you will have prints for the framework, electrical, hydraulic. you will have prints of the exterior skin and interior etc.

Sure they will be specific, but was the exact position understood and communicated accurately.

They were told more if you use the newspaper as well. Boeing was called and confirmed it was from the stairwell. you have a spokesperson with Seattle and an agent from "Vancouver" also speaking for Cowlitz and Seattle.

The drawings should of been easy to follow as mentioned. I'm not sure why they said what the said but again, we only have bits and pieces.

There is a couple 727's at Fort Lauderdale airport. I'm going to try and get access...100 and a 200 is there..

The FBI's public statements are crucial..

How could they claim that placard could have come from any passing 727 and the ground crew claimed they fall off in normal operation.

Either, they were correct or they were lying and knew Cooper pulled the emergency system removing both panels.

Here is what I see. we have zero documentation of any decal missing off of 305. they looked at the stairwell again about a week later thinking Cooper could of hid behind one of the panels. they describe the control box only while describing the wall along with the railing.

Seven years later the decal is found. here is where the claim of the placard missing comes into play which should of been noted on the evening of the hijacking. the small panel should or had to have been missing if he used the handle. Tina does state she showed him the "controls" to the stairs. it just bounces back and forth on what's really being described.

Someone from NWO needs to be found that would know about the controls. stews or a mechanic would be the best options. I don't think they are holding this back as a "identifier" to weed out the suspects. I think that would be in a file away from everything else..

yes, there are only really two possibilities..

Cooper used the emergency systems and the FBI knew it and held it back.

or

The placard could have come from any plane..

Years ago with less info I thought that Cooper may have had trouble with the main control lever,, you push from raise detent to lower detent.. but on the 727-100 you have to press a button on the top off the handle for it to move.. if he didn't he couldn't use the main control. He would then have pulled off the outer emergency release cover then inner then pulled the red handle.. This would have been known.

Two things support that but don't confirm it.

Minor panel damage..

and no part that large was missing...  was a small part missing?

The minor damage is to the staircase (falling part) that had damage from the wind while down. they did more damage that the hijacking..

that is right the fabric panels were torn..

We can't get anywhere until we 100% confirm the exact location of that decal.

Non-Cooper...but you just witnessed one of the greatest games in Monday Night Football history. I never had a doubt on the second kick by Myers. He wasn't letting Russell Wilson down, no way in hell. :)

Beat the UNBEATEN...on the road. And SF will wrap their season up in Seattle this year.

(*insert evil laugh here*) Go Hawks.

I have boycotted the NFL...

Interesting Cooper original description..

Boycotting the NFL? Like that matters, Flyjack. Since revenue sharing came in, an NFL team can go 0-16 each year and still make money. If it's a moral issue for you, I can accept it. But your boycott won't affect a thing.

Football isn't WORTH boycotting. Animal cruelty practiced by this company or that is worth boycotting. A company making a product they know is dangerous, or causes harm to the people who buy it, well...there you go.

Football is just football. I think we need a Cooper break here. Latest pictures of 'Coco the Office Cat' at AB of Seattle are below.

No worries. It's a special breakaway collar with a bell. For safety.

Boycotts work if people actually do them and stick with them. Pretty much everyone I know that boycotted the NFL over the anthem thing has either started watching again, or wasn't that big of a fan to begin with. We talk a good boycott, but few of us actually follow through with it. A lot of people said they were done with Nike when they pulled the Betsy Ross flag shoes. It didn't faze Nike because they know that when it comes time to buy another pair of shoes, all of those people that were buying their product before will buy them again. NFL knew the same thing.

My boycott is personal, I don't expect it to have any impact on them. I have also boycotted Nike, Starbucks, Facebook and others.. there are some I avoid as much as possible but can't entirely eliminate like Google and Amazon. I refuse to participate/support certain entities. I was a football fan, played in a recreational football league for years. It just doesn't interest me to support entities that I disagree with. Frankly, I don't miss them.

It is way off topic, so I can swing this back to Cooper, and football... for bonus Cooper points.

The Vancouver letter claimed Cooper went to the CFL Grey Cup final here, actually local to me, I have been to that stadium.

The letter can't be confirmed from Cooper, it may be a hoax but it may be legit.

This a video of the game.. there are a few pans of the crowd,, I looked for suspects but didn't notice anyone.. Ironically, the half time show is skydivers in dark suits.

Do you have a suspect in that crowd???

I have filled in this redacted FBI document and it I am 99% it is correct..

It is a Hahneman document but the witness ID was a bit of work.. the type is uniform so everything comes down to letter count. Robert Gregory is the only witness that fits, he is also the one that described Cooper as having Marcelled hair. Normally, the names of Cooper suspects who have died are not redacted, Hahneman's name is redacted throughout even though he died almost 30 years ago. I believe they have redacted his name because he was never eliminated. The FBI had Hahneman's passport image on June 1... I have many photos of Hahneman and he does look quite different in the face as his weight fluctuated. He also had a turkey neck.

Hahneman did have curly/marcelled hair, he was swarthy and latin in appearance.

In terms of the placard.  mrshutter45, Flyjack, RobertBlevins:  What do you think now?  Did the Hick's placard come from 305?  There seems to be even more debate now.

Don't know, the odds change depending upon the precise location which is unknown.

The (fastener) tear marks are inconsistent with any 727 stairway decal.. if it was on the wall there would have been a remnant of the decal left.

Logic based on all known info,, either it didn't come from 305 on that night or the FBI is lying about it and they know it did. The FBI had more info that we do and they said it could have come from any passing 727..

Let's assume it did come from 305.. what then..

Eric has concluded its location proves based on wind that there was a western flightpath and the pilots, Northwest, chase pilots, military radar, Boeing and controllers are all wrong.

A simple and more rational explanation would be that the wind at that location was from the South. The FBI admits the wind was an estimate based on Portland and Salem averaged over an hour timespan. Far from the placard location. Seattle wind was from the South, Toledo was from the South...

The fact is, we don't know the wind direction at the placard location and we do know that it was shifting in the area around that time from SSE to SSW..

That means the estimate for the wind at the Cooper LZ may have been wrong. If the wind was S he would have drifted back along the flightpath.

I'm not in favor of boycotting over the anthem thing, but I also disagree with players doing that. But for a more practical reason.

NFL players make a lot of money, and if they want to stage protests on TV they should pay for that TV time on their own and not take advantage of air time they didn't arrange, or did not pay for. Then they can stage all the protests they want.

BACK TO COOPER:  I read the FBI document you posted back there about how the money was provided to Cooper. I do not see anything in it that says the money was packaged in anything except packets of $20 bills at one hundred bills or so each. Haven't you said previously that these packets were also put together in larger bundles? Document is pretty simple. Says nothing about that.

This packaging makes sense on a couple of levels. It explains how $5800 at Tina Bar means three packets were found together, and why Cooper would not have pulled more than two or three packets out to offer to a stew, if he actually did that.

If Cooper really did pull out three packets in some offer to a stew, this would be six thousand or so...a reasonable amount. If he he pulled out three...and it actually added up to something like $24,000 because you say the packets were larger....this would be more than ten percent of the total ransom. This is a figure that even a generous hijacker probably would not have been willing to part with.

Maybe the truth is as simple as it appears. A hundred individual packets were given to the hijacker. And that was all. And rubber bands were probably installed on all of them, maybe leaving in place (or maybe not) the original paper bands that were on them at the bank. The rubber bands would be tossed on them to keep the bills from coming apart, since the paper bands don't hold the money together very well in transit. Because of Cooper's demands, EVERYONE involved realizes the hijacker plans to jump from the aircraft. If they don't secure the money a bit better, it could end up as green snow from 10,000 feet and recovering it later might be impossible. Sounds to me like they just grabbed a hundred paper-banded packets of $2,000 each (standard way money is packaged by banks, i.e. one hundred bills per paper-banded packet) slapped rubber on them, and tossed them into the bank bag. There was also a time pressure factor here, and getting from downtown Seattle in the late afternoon, early evening on a pre-holiday ain't easy on I-5.

EDIT: They probably took Highway 99 out of downtown to the airport, not I-5, which would have been longer route in 1971. And the traffic south out of Seattle on 99 in the afternoon, early evenings to the airport is historically bad. REALLY bad.

*As you can tell, I decided not to work today. Game last night was just TOO much excitement. I said the heck with it and rescheduled today's job.* B|

One more exciting thing coming my way just prior to Thanksgiving, though. I am bringing in a housesitter that week for the cat, and Gayla and I will be flying down to San Diego for Thanksgiving. When we leave, I will have the script to the Cooper movie in my hot little hands (*finally!*) after almost three years of waiting. I will be reviewing it on the flight down and making notes on suggestions to it to improve it. Someone else, the guy who got the script job turned down by Bruce Smith, will be looking at it as well. Our job is to suggest changes to make it more accurate to the known historical facts, especially the part between when Cooper boards, and when he jumps. Sounds like they're really going to do it next year. I have been told they are going for a late 2020 release to coincide with the 50th anniversary. I'm also hoping the studios make an announcement at around the same time, so that I can finally be free of that damned confidentiality agreement and be more open with people on what all that entails.
