NC Dropzones

Might be moving to NC soon. Any input on fun jumper dropzones on the eastern side of the state? Preferably between Wilmington and Nags Head and close to the coast.

Closest to the coast would be Washington, NC. Small Cessna dropzone with air conditioned packing room.

Just south of Wilmington is Skydive Coastal Carolina. They have a Cessna and a King Air. Pretty nice folks, but a little disorganized. It is right on the intercoastal. It is also my home DZ.

If you can drive a little way inland to Raeford, Paraclete has a great fun-jumper base as well as an otter, super caravan, and a CASA they break out on occasion. They are also open 7 days/week and have a 16.5 ft tunnel right down the road.

It's a bit over an hour and a half from Wilmington, but I regularly drive from the other end of the state to jump there.

I've been to Paraclete and it's pretty nice, but I'm spoiled having a DZ 10min from my house right now so I'm really hoping to find a 1hr or less drive for weekend day trips.

Weekend adventures and a change in scenery would be Skydive Carolina IMO. Good vibes and a friendly atmosphere! AND a HUGE landing area...
