Skydiving Tour - Germany/Switzerland/France - Tips & DZ Suggestions Pls

Recommended Posts

I have a huge jumping/tunnel trip planned for May/June 2014. But as I look online most sites don't have an english translation so I'm a little stumped on whats out there. ;)

I"ll be camper-vanning it the whole way, Starting with Amsterdam, Bottrop, Berlin, Switzerland, South France, Empuriabravia, then back up central France to fly out of Amsterdam. So lots of France!

My only set destinations are The Dam (start/return), Bottrop, Berlin, and Empuriabravia.

Any good DZs to recommend?
Whats cheap to jump also?
Anyone else done this with some good advice?

Thanks in advance :)

no cheap DZ in Switz, but you can jump a lot.
Most DZ's are weekend operations only, but a couple are operating also during the week on several occasions.
What kind of jumping do you do, maybe some DZ's will be more oriented towards your favorite disciplins.
At least these 2 have an english version of the website :

www.epco.aero

Good DZ's? Empuriabrava
cheap? Moorsele belgium.....cheaper if you are a member
Done with good advice? Try to do as much cooking as possible as eating out in Europe is quite expensive especially around Norway/Sweden/Denmark.

Tunnel advice? Don't do more than 45min of flying a day+majority of coaches don't teach static aka no RW/HU/HD and usually teach you dynamic. Just because your body won't tire from 45min a day of dynamic doesn't mean your brain won't be completely worn.

Jumping? Be positive, socialize and have fun!

If you move your trip to June/July there are so many boogies happening....

freely playdate boogie in Finland beginning early July
Vector Fest in France 1hr north of Lyon mid-July
Hellaherb Beromünster boogie in Switzerland right after vectorfest
Angle week in Nassinge Sweden same time as the Swiss boogie
Flanders boogie end of July tip beginning of Aug

Skydive Royan (France - West Coast) - Me and my VW Camper spend a month there in August...right by the coast - great DZ.

http://www.europhenix17.fr/en/

Camping onsite (with permission) or there are 2 campsites within 300 yards....500 yards from major supermarket.

13/14k for 22 Euro...

5 mins from the sea - You can camp by the sea if u like :-) There is a dedicated camper van overnight parking @ 7euro a night on the sea front road....

Well ran DZ - Porter running from dawn til dusk. Food onsite. Very friendly vibe and several members of staff who speak English.

NO brainer !

PM me if you want more info.....

in switzerland i can recommend paraclub beromünster:

Jumpticket 45 CHF (36.50 Euro)
Nice People, mostly Freeflyers
Nice Place out in the green (posibility to camp)
Open everyday while summer

36.50EUR:o That's steep...in Germany 12000ft are availabe for a lot less!

this is the average price in Switz. It is also because the euro is very low compared to 2-3 years ago. For the same CHF, it was 28 euro
