rhopstr 0 #1 February 3, 2013 Hi there, I'll be visiting Norway for a weekend next september 2013 and will be pretty close by to Parachute Club Cirrus Gothenburg in Sweden. I'm thinking about adding a day to to the trip to visit the DZ on the way home. I'm wondering about any up to date info about the DZ, especially with regards to jumping on sundays and mondays during my time frame of visit (15 / 16 sept 2013). Also, I'm Dutch, anyone know of anything special to take into account with regards to bringing you own gear to jump in Sweden? I'll be travelling by car / ferry by the way; so no airline troubles. Thanks!
stian 0 #2 February 3, 2013 When i last went, it was mandatory that you wear a metal hook knife. The club uses two dropzones. One was north close to the Norwegian border ( near Stromstad) The other is further south ( near Gothenburg) Send them an email before you go to find out which one they are utilizing at the given time. schwede 0 #3 February 4, 2013 Hi, I'm jumping in Cirrus. In september we only jump weekends, normally, occasionally weekdays also ( i.e thursday, friday). Better for you to take a look at our calendar at www.hoppafallskarm.nu and check the dates out. We Jump normally on everyday basis during june/aug. Bring yr logbook, insurance papers and that will be it... And Yes, we will at those dates jump at Vårgårda (approx. 70 km's north of Gothenburg). Yes, we do have some gear for renting with 150, 170 and 190 main canopy. But altimeter, dytter, helmet and jumpsuit you have to bring by yourselves. See ya SchwedeSchwede "Das Leben ist schön, nicht immer aber immer öfter"
