highwinder7 0 #1 December 11, 2011 Hi, are any of the Florida dropzones busy enough during the weekdays to turn lifts? May have a week down there at the end of January / February next year. If not then is Eloy a good idea for weekday jumps?
normiss 724 #2 December 11, 2011 Z-Hills and Deland are for sure! I'm not sure about Sebastian.

FestivalFox 0 #5 December 12, 2011 Ive jumped at Deland, Z-Hills in 2009. Last may I had the luck of my work transfering me from Ireland to Phoenix and now Eloy is my local DZ! I love Deland but eloy is the the place to be. These points may help you. Weather - On my two week trip to florida I had only 7 jumpable days. I was in Ariziona 6 months before I had my first weathered out day. Load organizers - Eloy wins hands down. Its a monster of a dropzone but its friendly as a small DZ. The load organizers are very friendly and approachable. And there are freefly and belly organizers working everyday. During the winter its always busy, always people to jump with and the tunnel is right there aswell. You would be crazy not to go!
dirtbox 0 #6 December 12, 2011 Just spent 8 week in Eloy and have been in Fl for 1.5 weeks (Zephyr hills)... ~170 jumps in 8 weeks in Eloy (took some time away hiking and things to). 18 jumps in FL (though I could be jumping harder). Eloy has far more knowledgeable people and has a bunk house and loadorganisers and better weather. You will learn far more at Eloy. Fl has pretty funky weather (inside typing this now because of weather) with half the days I have been here lost to weather. Zephyr is a far more relaxed dropzone and not as clicky, it is also warmer at night if you are camping :D.

danornan 79 #8 December 15, 2011 Z-Hills is open every day in the winter. It's all dependent on what you want to do? Jump by yourself, free fly by yourself, organized relative work? Got to know what YOU want to do before a serious recommendation can be made.Dano
