Talk about long drive, last year I was living in Suffolk VA and made the 6 hour drive for this fabulous event. It was about 102 degrees out. I couldn't figure out why it was still so hot even with the AC on. 4 hours into the drive I realized that my seat heaters were on! Boy did I feel dumb! :$

Even still, as long and hot as it was, it was totally worth it. B|

Oh my dear Lord it was sooo hot last year! I remember getting in the CASA right after the FAA inspected it on the ground for two hours. That thing was like a fuckin oven!!! Honest to God it must've been 120 degrees in there.

Here's hopin you kids get some cooler weather ;)

I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows*

i walked through a CASA exhaust plume, on that well heated tarmac, that was Really HOT......like standing right AT the bonfire when it gets fuel thrown on it.....:o[:/]B|;):o

That would have melted almost ANYthing.. well.. all except for mcdurans' popsicles...B|

now, the frozen grapes idea.....
i like the sound of that. keep a bagful (or 2 ) in the cooler, so they keep the beers cold,,, grab a few, as needed...

remember the red bull staff?? they had free cold ones, for everyone.

every little bit helps.

That chicken was pretty darn good too. I want some more. Oh and the mexican food Dale cooked. Freakin' yum.

It was like what 150 degrees in 2008? I thought I was going to start cooking while under shade. I'm the biggest wuss when it comes to humidity. I hate sweating and feeling like I just got dipped in a vat of hot oil.

FYI here are some more pics of the 2007 boogie.

It certainly felt like 150F! I'm sure though that this year will be a bit cooler. Especially with Mr Bones in the house B|

Or would that make it hotter?

Wait... Am I hot or cool? Both? Neither? I... Um... Now I'm confused [:/] I make my head hurt.

Less than 2 weeks to “Chesterfest”. I can’t wait. I’ve been attending the Skydive Carolina June boogie (whatever it’s been called) for years and it’s always a good time.
There are always great organizers, vendors and special events. Free skydives, specialty jumps, lift capacity, evening entertainment, sit-fly-chickens and The Rodriguez Brothers. Who are the Rodriguez Brothers? ….
This is also a great time to bring friends and family in for a tandem. A boogie is a great opportunity to show the people who don’t understand, the reason you skydive. If they mention Jump for the Cause when they book their tandem, Skydive Carolina will donate $20 to The City of Hope and Jump for the Cause. They are also, donating 50 cents of every fun jump to the same cause. In this day of shrinking profit margins this is a fantastic gift to a worthy charity. I’ll also have JFTC Boobie Koozies.
The folks at Skydive Carolina are working very hard to make this a great event. See you there.

I can't wait to visit Skydive Carolina again. Last year was great fun and an awesome success. I think this year will be even better. Let's hope for it to be about 10 degrees cooler though!

There are a few slots still available for freefly coaching. If you've been thinking about dialing in better vertical skills, please think about get signed up through the registration page. If you sign up for four coach jumps, the fifth one is free. This deal is a Carolina Fest Boogie only rate, compliments of East Coast (last one, you just pay slot!).

One each coach jump, you can expect a focused pre-jump instruction, full debrief, in a private and air conditioned area, and a copy of your jumps on dvd at the end of the day.

Check the registration page for more information on times and signing up:

Carolina Fest - Freefly Coach Signup, by East Coast Freefly

You can also expect me to be the rabbit on tracking dives every sunset!! Get ready for some flippy and dynamic track jumps. Plenty of freefly organized dives too; just come and find us!!!

See you there.

Hola. I am so excited for this years boogie.

Chatted with Diamante and Antigua today. Working on an RB tent, new altar and menu for grilling. WFFC Team Benton will on hand.

Jell-O making this weekend. I think I am going for 600 again.
Skydiving....YES!!!
Doggy Styles will give out Scooby snacks on it's free load....maybe a few Pita chips as well ;-)

First Lady Delfina has ordered some glow for the evenings and looking for decor for the tent.

Looks like weather is normal. No unusual heat wave coming our way this year!!!!! Can't wait to see old boogie friends and meet new.

At last years event, we set a South Carolina state head down formation record of ten. This year, Amy and I want to see that record beat. On Sunday morning there will be a few attempts at beating last year's record. If you're interested in making a new state record and getting in on the action, let us know!

I finished editing a film for the film festival... should I submit it? :$

Just to add and edit. Attached the current schedule slots for freefly coaching. Anyone interested in taking the vacant slots will want to send an email to [email protected] or go to the web site and click the register as stated in the above post. Blu One's...Dave

Today Streaker is doing really well. He is rarely using his O2, and we haven't used a wheel chair for a while. Everyday when he wakes up, we decide what we will do on that day, so that being said, guess we'll decide when we get a little closer. We would LOVE to be there! I would help you make jello! I would help Dale make chicken, I would help James manifest. I would help Delfina glow! Lets hope we can make it!
