theonlyski 3 #2 June 2, 2013 skyclear.wx http://www.skyclear.ro/Metars%20and%20Tafs.html Best regards, Marius How is this faster than going straight to ADDS and entering the exact airport code? Seems easier to do it directly, as you then don't have to go down the list or search for the correct airport code."I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

theonlyski 3 #4 June 2, 2013 LyraM45 I was just about to post the same response Not like most skydivers could read/decode a METAR/TAF nor bother to do so anyways. Blue sky = jump."I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message
IJskonijn 38 #5 June 3, 2013 It's not the blue skies/low wind days that you need the METARs. There's a massive difference between OVC150 and OVC005. One is (given good winds) perfect jumping weather, the other is utterly crap. And it's a difference that's difficult (if not impossible) to see by just looking up. For those interested, this page gives a nice overview of different groups in a METAR message.
