tetra316 0 #55 August 5, 2008 Quote Quote maybe others are having the same motel-hell that I have had...at this point, I have a room for thurs/Fri nights, nothnig for Sat that is less than 450 a night, Super 8 claims there is no skydiver/L4L rate...and while they're going to call if they have a cancelation, I'm not holding my breath. There are many places to stay with skydivers that last night if you can't get a hotel room. Plus we just called a motel in Selton city center and they have several rooms left. I'll PM you with that info. What's the camping situation? Are there showers available? Is it close enough to the hanger to set up your camping gear and leave it unattended? Check the accommodations page on Kapowsin's web site http://www.skydivekapowsin.com/accommodations.php They do have a shower at the DZ upstairs too. And free wi fi! The camping is not too far away but they can't have you camping right at the DZ because it's an airport.

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #60 August 6, 2008 Woohoo, Amazon and Super-Barbie are coming! Friends~ Is there anyone who would be able to give me a ride from the Seattle airport to the Casino hotel on Friday at around 3 or 4 pm? I hurt my back two days ago and am in lots of pain, so I may not be driving out there, anymore. I might get a one-way plane ticket from LAX to Seattle(arrive either 3:05 or 4:05, depending). Then, I'm thinking of either renting a car or getting a ride or flight back down to San Francisco on Monday, before going back home to SoCal. Thank you...for any help offered! ACMESkydiver 0 #62 August 9, 2008 I'm pushing to be out there by 2pm today. Hope the weather is better over there than it is over here. -I can't jump, so don't expect to see me with gear -unless someone is short a helmet or alti or something. If that's the case, call me on my cell and I'll bring my extras...(NWFlyer & Valinda have my #). I don't have a complete rig any more or I'd bring that. I just have the Icon with no canopies. Come to think of it, I was gonna let Roo try on my harness...ok I'll bring it if I can find all of the pieces. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. monkycndo 0 #65 August 11, 2008 Rumor has it that she made her 100th. But I'll let her confirm that. There might even be some video of the event. And the post jump celebration. But again, only a rumor. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
grannyinthesky 0 #66 August 11, 2008 Yep, I did my 100th thanks to NWFlyer and Monkycndo. The weather was, well, what can you say, it's the Pacific Northwest, so we did a three way from about 7200 feet. And wow did they catch me off guard afterwards. I was watching for the POPS formation load to appear when suddenly several pies appeared from behind. From what I hear there are pics and video. I had a great time and a memorable 100th jump. Thanks guys for making my day. "safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!! " ~~jmy POPS #10490

I'm a bit embarrassed. I don't do well in front of the camera. I was really really nervous you can almost see me shaking with fear in the clip. John looked really cute though didn't he?! He's so amazing! The event went really well. We're still getting funds in so we don't have a total yet but suffice it to say we did GREAT! Thanks to everyone who supported us!!
