AggieDave 6 #251 July 3, 2008 I had a great time, even though the winds picked up Saturday and I wasn't able to come back on Sunday. I think it was a really good decision to not bring the Casa in for the boogie. Even though there was a good turn out, there wasn't enough people to keep a Casa turning. The cost for bringing one is is $24k for the weekend. That means it would have had to turned 36 loads at $22 a ticket with 30 people on it to make up $24k without even figuring for fuel cost which would have been around $8k for those 36 loads. So everyone got more loads with the Otter and less stress. Sure a tailgate is cool, but they've been over boogied in the last 5 years, kind of old hat. I think the helicopter pilot more then made up for it.Once again Skydive H-town has shown that with Todd Bell running the place, the vibe is back, smiles are back and people are having fun! --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." maxmadmax 8 #253 July 3, 2008 It's like a dream...did all the stuff really happen? I was vibe'ing out with a packer by the fuel tank at 12:00 am and the chopper buzzed us...not once but twice..... Kind of got the old WFFC vibe working...... and Aggie Dave....get a rig for high speed.... let's do it. You're a big ol mofo. I can do 345mph.....both of us could hit 500 mph! Don't go away mad....just go away!
pairashooter 0 #254 July 3, 2008 Well said Dave. I am glad you had fun. The winds screwed us but there will be more in the future. Perhaps more organizing of different things and contests etc etc. Chris Scaife
