Chambersburg, PA

Recommended Posts

Stopped by Chambersburg today to check it out. JR and Jack were there, and someone named Doug ( I think his name is Doug...sorry if I'm wrong!) stopped by to pick up his rig. Seems like a really cool DZ to call home. The weather was crap, so no one was jumping. JR and Jack answered a bunch of questions from my Dad and gave us a tour of the facilities. Hopefully, I can get back to PA this spring or summer to do some jumps and meet some people there...

We'll be back sometime early summer. The ice storm wiped out our plans this trip. My parents house lost power yesterday, and they *may* get it back tomorrow. We had checked in to the Farnsworth House in Gettysburg yesterday, and they lost power too! >:( We had to stay at a hotel in Mechanicsburg last nite and tonite with my parents and their dog...heading back to Denver in the morning. I'll definitely let you know when we'll be here next time. Thanks for the offer!

Just beware the packing fairy when you stay with Jen...

I hear that he strikes without warning or method... but he'll put his junk on your gear.

*sob* My rig is a packing fairy attack survivor *sob*

My guess is the packing fairy would lose his balls if they touched Jen's new rig. :o

I think we probably scared the OP away from Chambersburg :P

My guess is you're off the advertising, marketing, promotions, and the public relation committees too. :P

Nope, but I don't want anyone's hairy, sweaty balls violating my rig while I'm there...

Well, then you'll be delighted to know that after 3 years as packers, we both recently retired from that profession (YIPPPEEEEE!!!!!) since we have instructor ratings now. So, his sweaty balls will be busy strapped to a tandem student ) That sounds so vile, but you know what I mean!:P)

Glad we didn't scare you off... it really is a great crowd.

I don't know. You can email Kathie at [email protected] or call them to find out.

When the weather is iffy, we just go to Maytown... much closer to home, we can get a jump in and go home without blowing 1/2 the day driving.

In the past Cburg has been open for New Years though, so I doubt this year will be any different. I have a few Jan 1 skydives there :)
