instead of:
"blowing off work to go skydiving"
i call it:
"heading back to the bay area to visit my mom"
and immediately i begin to feel better about myself.

The Byron Boogie is on and set for the 28, 29 and 30 of September. The aircraft will be a Skyvan, Otter and Kingair. Boogie fee will be $30 and jump tickets $20. Food will be provided on Friday and Saturday nights. Friday is a chili cookoff, and Disco night, so break out your dancin shoes. Saturdays meal has yet to be determined. Hope to see everyone there!

Byron is known for being a windy DZ. The winds can be howling or non existant. It is surrounded by windmills. But with few obstructions, there is not much turbulance. The landing area is big with plenty of outs. If you are use to the winds at El'Snore, you should have no problems at Byron. Besides, if the winds pick up, the beerlight gets turned on early. One year we got winded out on Friday. Beerlight got turned on about 3pm. I have never seen such a wild evening of karaoke.B|:S:o:ph34r: Elisha was riding around on Amazon's shoulders.

But it will NEVER happen again. ;):S

...I'm just sad that the Boogie couldn't have WAITED until the first weekend in October so I can come. >:(

There is always next year. See you again soon, Sean & Krisanne.

Winds are never a problem at Byron. The 3,000+ wind mills are just for aesthetics. Actually, we tell everyone to downsize before coming to jump at Byron. I recommend two downsizes in the off chance that winds are around 30 knots. :)

But not to worry I looked at the weather forecast. Winds are supposed to be around 0 next weekend.:D

Either that or land downwind. ;)

I thought all you had to do was call those guys and ask them to turn off the fans.:P

Come up on Friday.

Why? Cuz that's the only day I'm gonna be there. :D

I have to wait and see how work is... Month end is always tough with my job. I'd love to be able to come up Friday, but I may have to work late. [:/]

I will be very bummed if I don't get to see ya!!!
