NASCAR: Nextel Cup Series, Golden Corral 500 Schedule

Atlanta Motor Speedway, 3/18/07, 10:00 a.m.

Is this the race you were speaking of? If it is, does that mean late afternoon would be a good time to get to the Atlanta airport since the NASCAR traffic will be gone by then?

Don't bet on it. It really takes most of the rest of the day to get everyone out of the race track. The problem is, you have all those fans coming in all week (campers and RVs) and the day fans coming in all morning. Then when the race ends ALL of them try to leave.

Spence, you are going to have to think about holding future Dublin boogies for the weekend AFTER the Atlanta race. So what if St Patrick's Day has already passed? Y'all can still celebrate it.

This is not looking like a good jumping weekend. Rain on Friday... Winds on Saturday... and traffic on Sunday...

I'm glad it was you who said that, I got yelled at in pm's for mentioning the 60% chance of rain on Friday. Oh well, that means we have a 40% chance of it not raining, right?

Edit: Oh shit, now it's 80% chance tomorrow. [:/] Winds at 16mph on Sat. That's not so bad if it is steady, just plan accordingly on your setup.

NO!! They need to reschedule that Race. They are interfering with our Boogie!!:P

(Same problem with the Halloween Boogie... It is on the other NASCAR Weekend in Atlanta:S)

Sound like in all reality that traffic will not start getting bad till at least 7 or 8 pm then. That means everyone can jump their ass till 6pm at the boogie and still be ahead of it.

Spence got them to change daylight savings time for us this year so didn’t loose that hour like we have in the past. Getting then to reschedule one little silly race should not be any harder.:P

Common mistake here...MY Cora is not THE Cora of dz.com fame. Ladyskydiver, while being possessed of a keen wit and a nice smile, has yet to even meet me. :)

Well that's why you need to get the plane tickets at least 2 weeks early! Duh! ;)

People I feel that a phrase a guy i went to school with used often to motivate us is appropriate here.

The situation would be one like this, where things are turning out exactly as we would like them he would sit in quiet reflection and stand up and say this is a Fraternity Party (or whatever the event might be) NOT A CHURCH RETREAT! So I offer this...

This is the Dublin Boogie, Not a Church Retreat.

I am not sure what it means exactly but i certainly got us motivated to action and i am hoping that it does the same for y'all! DUBLIN HERE WE COME!

Yeah, well, I still have a 'free' ticket, but Southwest obviously doesn't fly in to Georgia. Bastards! It's OK. While y'all are jumping your asses off, I'll be working mine off. It'll give me more money to jump with at Skyfest. :o I know... That "S" word should not have been said in this thread. For that, I must repent. B|

You could fly to Birmingham, AL. But the 4 1/2 hour drive from there to Dublin sucks... :D

Um, no thanks. :| I think I'll just keep my tushy in Austin for the weekend.

The reason the prices are so high (according to Continental and American) is because of spring break. But, they'll use any excuse to jack up the prices. :S

The scheduled time that the TV network has for the ending of the NASCAR race in Atlanta on Sunday is about 5:30 pm. I would say from experience going to the races that traffic will start getting really bad about 30 minutes after the conclusion of the race, so I would try to get past AMS prior to 6 pm on Sunday. If you must wait until afterwards, wait until around 10 pm.

All I know is that my team is jumping into the race at 1310 and TV isn't set to start till 1330, so we'll see if we make the big screen.

Any one want to pick me up in Atlanta, we did our practice jumps today and now have nothing to do till the jump on Sun.

Ciao,
Guido

It was a good Thursday, considering how bad it looked it might get weather-wise! I got six in: four birdies and two bigger-ways with Carl Doherty's group. Yes, I know I spelled his last name wrong, so fuck off.

We christened our "official boogie shirts" today. They are awesome and I am sure someone will post pics. You can get as many as you want FOR FREE!

We have a lot of damn wingsuits here for people to jump. We had seven loads out of ten with wingsuits on them today. Lot's of "me TV" video provided by myself, Hushpuppy, and Jeff Nebelkopf.

Even me... little broke shoulder girl, made 3 wingsuit jumps today! More than I've made in 6 months!!!

Great boogie so far. Thanks to PsychoBob and Rick for the BBQ tonight! SWEET! Can't wait to hit the leftovers for breakfast and the chili tomorrow night. Me, Chuck, and his nephew, Tucker are chillin in the Best WEstern eating Cheetos and watching American Chopper!

Let's beat the odds on the weather again tomorrow!!!

Hooty Hoo!

(GREAT JOB SPENCE!!!)B|
